Entrepreneur Terence Cheah is working to change a current market set on in-the-box fabrication by bringing a new printing technology to consumers. Through this new technology, personalized and textured art is created from original images through a relatively simple three-step process.
Cheah brought his technology to a major manufacturer, but he was turned away. Recognizing the opportunities this new technology holds, he’s brought his service to Kickstarter.
Through the new campaign, Cheah is aiming to raise just over $20,000. The funds will be used to expand his current facility, as well as set aside funding to create a complete system and “DIGITAL factory.”
Cheah’s personalized texture printing has already won awards. In 2016, the system was the recipient of the Silver & Bronze FESPA Awards.
As the first of its kind, in a simple three-step process, consumers can receive custom art created on virtually any surface. The first step entails acquiring an original image or file. Then, the selection is embossed or debossed. Then, the textured print is created. According to Cheah, personalized oil paintings can be created with beautiful texture. Personalized textured glass (Color) art can also be created with this remarkable system.
Through his Kickstarter campaign, Cheah hopes to raise the capital needed to introduce this technology to people everywhere and give consumers amazing new options for personalized art. Backers can receive perks including digital proofing, personalized phone casings, their own custom textured prints, and more.
