At AISION DESIGN, the goal is to create minimalistic and remarkable products by using design elements found in the world. The company’s very first line, the AN-S01 watch, has thus far captivated Kickstarter backers in a campaign that’s currently at double its goal.
The AN-S01 stands apart from the typical wristwatch. At first glimpse, it looks like something from a sci-fi movie, with its domed glass and striking gray, sleek frame. AISION wanted to create a futuristic automatic watch inspired by space and UFOs, all while keeping the design simple. To do this, they used a hemisphere glass for the face, a streamlined and stereoscopic dial, and unique case design.
Outside of the appearance of the AN-S01, the watch has been carefully crafted to deliver the degree of timekeeping one would expect from a higher end watch. Featuring a Miyota caliber 82S0 movement, with two design options available, accuracy is ensured.
Even the strap has been designed to be eye-catching. Two options are now available for the AN-S01, Black and White and Black Crazy Horse. If the stretch goal of $300,000 is met, backers will receive a free leather strap on top of their discounted wristwatch.
When AISION created the Kickstarter campaign for AN-S01, they aimed to raise just over $10,000. They have already more than doubled this goal with the help of backers. With nearly 30 days left in the campaign, it seems that stretch goals aren’t out of sight. Backers are receiving exclusive perks, including early bird pricing on the AN-S01. The first editions of the AN-S01 will ship to backers in June 2019.
