“Nie Er’s music, Chinese culture and his worldly expression”, which was named after Mr. Nie, during the 2018 Nie Er Youth Wind Band Art Week concluded in Longgang district, Shenzhen. The 2018 Nie Er Youth Wind Band Art Week carries the spirit of Nie Er’s patriotic education, carries forward the essence of traditional culture, represents the professional level of wind band art, builds the professional platform for Chinese and foreign youth wind band exchanges, and promotes the exchange and development of Chinese and foreign youth wind band cultures.<\/p>\n

Under the guidance of the publicity department of the central committee of the Communist Youth League, the 2018 Nie Er Youth Wind Band Art Week is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Culture Promotion Association, the People’s Government of Longgang District of Shenzhen, the Wind Band Professional Committee of Beijing Musicians Association, Nie Er International Culture Promotion Association, and GuanYu Entertainment Era Culture Media (Beijing) Co., LTD. Supported by Longgang District Culture\uff0cSports and Tourism Administration of Shenzhen Municipality and held by China Sports Futurity Industry (Shenzhen) Co., LTD.<\/p>\n

Chinese and foreign youth wind band art exchanges and performance activities running from 1st<\/sup> October to 3rd<\/sup> October divided into three groups: the primary school group, the middle school group and open group from China, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries with 18 excellent youth wind bands from home and abroad performed three famous songs, namely “sell the newspaper song”, “Mei Niang song” and “golden snake dance”.<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that all the achievements of the art week communication and performance activities are in the presence of the supervision representative of the art week organizing committee, the representative of the judges and the representative of the band leader. It reflects the openness, fairness, and impartiality of the youth wind band exchanges and performance activities in the art week.<\/p>\n

At the end of the exchange and exhibition, the top three bands from the primary school category were the Longcheng Primary School Wind Band 7th<\/sup> group from Shenzhen Longgang District Longcheng High School (Education Group), Little Golden Sail Wind Band from Beijing Fengtai District and “The Voice of Spring” Wind Band 3rd<\/sup> group from Shenzhen Bao’an Middle School Second Foreign Language School. The top three bands from the middle school category were Satri Wat Rakhang Wind Band from Thailand, Shenzhen Pinggang Middle School Wind Band, and Zhuhai Jiuzhou Middle School Wind Band. Hong Kong O Wind Ensemble and Shanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group copper coal workers wind band won the top two for open group.<\/p>\n

At the end, Yu Hai, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, a national first-level conductor, former head of the PLA Military Orchestra, chairman of the China Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles and director of the Art Week Organizing Committee, mentioned that Mr. Nie Er is a great musician. He created our national anthem March of the Volunteers and many other pieces, everyone should have a deep understanding of Nie Er’s spirit of patriotic education and said that the art of wind band is relatively easy to get into. In recent years, under the leadership of the Wind Band Association of China, orchestral music has achieved excellent results in its development. Later, it was proclaimed that the wind band art plays a great role in the cultivation of quality education for teenagers, and learning wind band makes people happier. Many excellent historians and scientists are keen on wind band and expect teenagers to stick to it. All the while, we thank the organizing committee for providing a platform for Chinese and teenagers from abroad to communicate and develop their wind band culture, and we look forward to meeting up again next year.<\/p>\n

As the host of one of the major cultural activities of Longgang District, Mr. Liu Deping, director of the Cultural Tourism Administration of the Longgang District, said that Longgang District has been devoted to the construction of wind bands and other art and culture, and has held many branded activities related to wind bands and folk music. In the next five years, we will continue to support Nie Er Youth Wind Band Art Week, to promote the brand promotion of art week, and to continue increasing investments in wind band education. It has important benchmarking significance for the construction of the Shenzhen Eastern Cultural Center, the promotion of cultural development in Longgang District and the construction of a national cultural spirit.<\/p>\n

In addition, the 2018 Nie Er Youth Wind Band Art Week held activities such as the Life of Nie Er Picture Exhibition and Wind Band Charity Show in Longgang Cultural Center and Longcheng Vanke. By displaying the precious historical documents and the precious cultural relics, and performing the works of Nie Er, the paper vividly shows the brilliant life of the People’s musician Nie Er. It inherits the spirit of Nie Er’s patriotic education and carries forward the essence of traditional culture.<\/p>\n
