The initiative is called American Smile Plane and our mission is to bring laughter and Joy to children in need worldwide through aviation. <\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"><span>American Charter Service has created a charitable mission to bring smiles to children in need. Last year, American Smile Plane collected over 1,000 toys and brought them to the children of Puerto Rico during the holidays. This year, we have partnered with the Joe DiMaggio children&rsquo;s hospital to provides &ldquo;smile&rdquo; flights for children recovering from illnesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"><span>On October 2, 2018, American Charter Services provided the first flight to Elia and her family. Elia is just seven years old and about a year ago she was diagnosed with a tumor. Monday will be her last day of chemotherapy and American Charter Services wanted to help her and her family celebrate with an American Smile Plane flight! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"><span>Elia and her family visited our facilities today where they met the ACS team and got a tour of the airport. Then they met the pilots and boarded the aircraft for a one-hour flight! Elia and her family loved the plane! She was so excited about this trip that she even started reading and learning about Amelia Earhart.
