Khaleel Mandel\u2019s Self-Produced Album \u201cOriginal\u201d is one of its own kind<\/div>\n
Singer-songwriter Producer and rapper Khaleel Mandel recently released his newest album entitled “Original” containing 13 songs. With his new music, Khaleel Mandel says, “When it all comes down to it, music unfolds undiscovered messages. Discovering the unknown full time keeps me creative.”<\/span><\/div>\n

Born in Massachusetts and raised in Bridgeport, CT, this multitalented artist has shown to be incredibly gifted as a child. As a child, he would attend numerous performances of his professional bass player father, Carl Carter, who was one of the people who influenced his music. Throughout his career, Khaleel would earn much recognition for his contribution to the music industry.<\/span><\/div>\n

This year, on October 12th, Khaleel released a new debut self-produced album, “Original.” The LP successfully combines a wide array of genres including reggae, hip hop, R&B, indie rock, funk, pop, and Avant-Garde.<\/span><\/div>\n

In this album, Khaleel showcases his versatility by making different kinds of music from orchestral ballad ‘Snow on a Monday’ to the centered title track with its hard-hitting rap. From what Khaleel states, this album seems to really showcase a wide range of emotions and thoughts of his from the last two years.<\/span><\/div>\n

“Original” started to come together around a month after the release of Dead Weight, Khaleel’s debut mixtape. Around that time, he began working on this new album which took place in locations such as Connecticut, Massachusetts and Barbados. Most of the songs on the LP are just Khaleel, but it also has a feature from his cousin Keion Jevon, a fellow member from the roster of Khaleel’s DoubleCrown Inc.<\/span><\/div>\n

From the beginning, Khaleel had a set vision for how he wanted the album’s sound to be for more than a year since he started working on it. He even knew how each track has to be chronologically organized along with some key components. While executing his vision for the album was a real challenge, he was satisfied with how it came to be. He also mentioned that being the only producer of the album gave him the focus for a thorough work on the album. Since its release, fans of Khaleel can now listen to it at all streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.<\/span><\/div>\n
