Amphitheater High School could not be more proud of our ambitious students who set out to prepare themselves for the demands of Advanced Placement classes. These students did this by entering the Cambridge Academy program and 18 were able to successfully make their way through the course.  At the beginning, the program can be challenging for students, but this pays off as they work with staff and learn to manage the demands of the classes and begin to gain superior learning and study skills that help prepare them for advanced curriculum to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

Offered to 9th and 10th grade students, and only at Amphitheater High School, the Cambridge Academy consists of a series of coursework taken to prepare students for Advanced Placement classes during junior and senior years. The program is based on the University of Cambridge IGCSE Curriculum and assessments. Students who complete courses and pass the required assessments qualify for the Grand Canyon Diploma. This diploma program gives students the option to graduate from the Academy after their 10<\/span>th<\/span>-grade year and provides students with guaranteed admittance into the community college system.<\/span><\/p>\n
