SANTA MONICA, CA – January 31, 2019 –<\/strong> BudTrader, the largest cannabis, social media platform is pleased to announce the launch of our “Save the Weed, Save the World” campaign. We announced via a Facebook Post<\/a> that we will be sending 300 hoodie sweatshirts and 300 beanies to volunteers, who are members of the cannabis community in Chicago to be distributed to people in need  <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, for every sweatshirt, hoodie and beanie sold in the BudTrader Store<\/a> the brand will give one of the same product to someone in need during record breaking freezing temperatures crippling more than 75% of the Country. All pieces are rated for warmth. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cold weather is currently gripping most of the country during the ongoing Polar Vortex, a weather phenomenon that is causing temperatures to dip to below-Arctic levels in many parts of the United States. As many as eight deaths have already been reported to be connected to the Midwest’s dangerously cold weather system, according to The Associated Press. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Let’s show the world just how compassionate the cannabis community can be,” said BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin in a statement on Facebook. “People are freezing to death. People are dying. This is serious. We’re sending 300 hoodies and 300 beanies to Chicago and matching every order on hoodies, long-sleeved shirts and beanies. You get a sweatshirt and beanie, someone in need is going to get one too. We can all sleep a little better at night knowing we did something good for our fellow human beings. Our campaign motto is ‘Save the Weed, Save the World’, but it’s not just a motto. It’s at the core of BudTrader. The cannabis community came together on BudTrader. Theirs over 2 million of us now that are connected. Together the cannabis community will save the world in 5 years.
