Los Rakas, the California-by-way-of-Panama bilingual duo comprised of cousins Raka Rich and Raka Dun, are known for their seamless blend of hip-hop, reggaeton and dancehall. The two have remained steadfast in their dynamic approach of bringing the sounds of Los Rakas to the worldwide stage. Their exceptional charisma and ironclad delivery – bar to bar – has garnered international acclaim from fans across the globe. <\/div>\n

After 12 years in the music business, Los Rakas<\/strong> has released their next album, Manes De Negocio<\/strong>, on Delicious Vinyl Island<\/strong>. The group’s second full-length LP, and their first in three years, has been pre-empted with featured releases of Los Rakas<\/strong> on projects by Nina Sky<\/strong>, “Passion<\/em>” and Mr. Vegas<\/strong>, “Killa Body<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

The majority of the album was street sounds of Latinx Trap, however, once they teamed with Adrian L. Miller<\/strong> (Delicious Vinyl Island) he suggested they should integrate all of the Raka sounds which include: Tropical\/Trap\/Reggaeton.<\/p>\n

Manes De Negocio<\/strong> is colorful with moments that soar such great heights without slighting. Los Rakas<\/strong> weaves through sounds and paints their neighborhood a flagrant rainbow, which boasts confidence equally serene and solid. Guest appearances include Amara La Negra<\/strong>, Jhoni The Voice<\/strong>, I-Majesty<\/strong>, Tree Thomas<\/strong>, CRSB<\/strong>, Youngin Floe<\/strong>, Blaka<\/strong>, and Abriana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Their latest single, “<\/strong>Devorame<\/strong>”<\/strong>, a sultry reggaeton banger featuring Amara La Negra<\/strong> (Love and Hip Hop: Miami) had its world premiere via Ebro Darden’s Beats1 radio show, followed by an exclusive premiere of the “<\/strong>Devorame<\/strong>”<\/strong> video on Remezcla. The pairing of Los Rakas<\/strong> and Amara La Negra<\/strong> marks the initial collaboration between two acts who are leading the way for Afro-Caribbean representation in Latin music, unapologetically encouraging Latinos and Latinas to rep their heritage. “Amara La Negra<\/strong> is an icon for AfroLatinas<\/em>,” says Raka Dun<\/strong>. “We love her style and how she reps the culture. <\/em>Los Rakas<\/strong> and <\/em>Amara <\/strong>together are just plain obvious, it had to happen<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

Manes De Negocio<\/strong> combines Los Rakas’<\/strong> already eclectic musical blend with a sound that’s firmly in step with today’s exploding Latin Trap movement. “Even though it’s a trend now, we’ve been doing this,”<\/em> says Raka Dun.<\/p>\n

Los Rakas<\/strong> are currently on a US and Latin American Tour promoting the new album. Some of their shows include performances in New York, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, Colombia and their home country Panama.<\/p>\n
