An artistic sculpture by Geneva, Switzerland based international artist Cedric Koukjian, of SINCE Studio, has been selected for public display in the Cologny-Vandoeuvres roundabout after an international competition.<\/p>\n

The Cultural Commission of Cologny, Geneva, Switzerland has selected “Liaison,” a three-meter high sculpture by Cedric Koukjian, to be publicly exhibited in the Cologny-Vandoeuvres roundabout in Geneva, Switzerland starting in January 2020.<\/p>\n

The selection of Koukjian’s “Liaison” comes after fierce competition between internationally recognized sculptors and artistic talents after the initial announcement of the competition by the Cultural Commission. The three meters high, hand-hammered, mirror polished, and stainless steel “Liaison” sculpture is a testament to relationships between human beings and the power of unity and freedom, while simultaneously highlighting Koukjian’s professional artistic and creative talents.<\/p>\n

The “Liaison” sculpture incorporates a unique conceptualization of the human relationship and power of the human bond. It’s stone chains, carved from one rock with jaded carving separated at the ends, are symbolic of the building of relationships between humans. Be it emotions or relationships of love, friendship, or family, each human connection begins from the unknown like an uncarved rock, lacking defined or organized shape. Over time, however, such relationships, like rock, are carved down and worked on in resemblance of a chain. Each is finely polished to symbolize unity, strength, and freedom. Such unity developed methodically over time and with care, mirror human beings and the freedom and happiness that results in human bonds.<\/p>\n
