OLNEY, MD – August 30, 2019 –<\/strong> Christian artist Peyton Leonard has announced the upcoming release of her EP, A JOURNEY WITH GOD. The five-song EP will be the first release from the artist, and is scheduled to be available in digital format on September 30, 2019. The album is currently available for pre-order on her website, https:\/\/peytonnaomileonard.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The music mixes Leonard’s emotional vocals with soft, mellow instrumentation that reflects the calm of facing challenges with faith in a higher power. Tracks “Whispers,” “I Say Yes,” “Broken,” “Quote on Quote,” and “Wait” take the listener on a journey of faith and triumph as one chooses to put trust in something greater than them.<\/p>\n

Throughout her website, one cannot only pre-order the album. They can also sample additional instrumental tracks not included on the release. One track, “Floating Petals,” is a piano-based composition punctuated by occasional soaring violins and other instruments.  There’s also “Vanora” and “The Warrior” available for streaming.<\/p>\n

The classically-trained vocalist is also a composer who has been writing music since childhood. She began taking this life-long love of music seriously at age ten, eventually attending James Madison University to major in Vocal Performance-Opera. She’s a self-taught pianist as well as an author.<\/p>\n

With the release of A JOURNEY WITH GOD, Leonard is returning to music despite battling with Lyme disease, a disease that had forced her to withdraw from JMU. She’s been working with a Grammy-Nominated producer to refine the release as well as having a book currently reviewed by a potential publisher. She speaks a bit about the recording of the album on her blog. Her first book, LYME & NOT THE FRUIT, was released back in 2016 and chronicles her battle with the disease.
