Out of all the new tracks that dropped Thursday night, C.J. Green\u2019s song \u201cWhat\u2019s Up\u201d stands out for it\u2019s refreshing and positive message.\n<\/div>\n

While most tracks in today’s media are about guns, sex, violence, and drugs, C.J. Green is taking a whole new approach to the music game with his positive message.<\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up in a negative environment inspired C.J. Green to create meaningful music rather than feed into the mainstream. No where is that more evident than on his new track “What’s Up” featuring Derez Deshon. The song is about never getting too big or busy for the people that are close to you. In our day to day lives we might not have time to see everyone as much as we would like, but C.J. Green is pushing for loyalty and friendship nonetheless. People change and live different lives but C.J. Green believes that is no excuse to not be there for someone when they need you.<\/span><\/p>\n

C.J. Green says, “(It’s) about being there for your fam even after all the fame and being busy. Really just making sure that at the end of the day they know they can call you if they need you. This life can get crazy and I might not be able to answer the phone every single time but if you text me and your my dog I will ALWAYS hit you back. My verse touches on my past and some of my morals and Derez put his heart on his sleeve on this one.” <\/span><\/p>\n

Smooth melodies and postive vibes are what make the new track so special. “What’s Up” is a perfect example of where C.J. Green wants the music game to go in the future. His unqiue approach is refreshing in an oversaturated market. <\/span><\/p>\n
